The Big Issue Street Football Festival
The Big Issue Street Football Festival is an annual event held on a purpose-built floating football pitch in the heart of Darling Harbour, Sydney.
The festival is Australia's most significant community sporting event, which aims to celebrate diversity and showcase the power of football to unite the community and improve lives.
The third annual event ran from January 18-28, 2013, bringing together more than 1000 participants for 300 matches.
The festival included competitions for juniors, A-League youth, corporate and government agency teams and players from our Community Street Soccer Program, which brings together homeless and disadvantaged men and women from around the country.
The festival will return in 2014. More details on how you can get involved will be available shortly.
