Federal politicians will swap their suits for soccer jerseys as part of our annual Parliamentarian Street Soccer Cup in Canberra on March 14.
The Cup aims to raise awareness of our Community Street Soccer Program - a federally funded initiative that supports homeless, marginalised and disadvantaged people around the country.
More than 5000 people have taken part in the program since it was launched in 2007, with many reporting positive changes in their lives as a result of their participation.
Participants will test their skills against politicians and parliamentarian staff in a friendly round-robin tournament on an inflatable floating pitch.
The Parliamentarian Street Soccer Cup will be played on Senate Oval from 6.45-8am on Thursday, March 14.
