Fiction Edition

After we announced in May that Hollywood renaissance man James Franco was the star contributor for our 2012 fiction edition, the short story submissions began piling in thick and fast. After all, who wouldn't give their right arm to see their name in print next to Franco’s? We've received a record number of submissions but they're well and truly closed now, so please don’t send in any more stories and don’t send your right arm in either.
So what’s Franco reeeeeeally like? Well he’s an absolute pro – prompt, polite and no painful attitude whatsoever. We think you'll really like his story – it’s clever and surreal.

Among the other commissioned writers for the fiction edition are some local big-shots. We’ve got Margo Lanagan, Tony Birch, Sophie Cunningham, James Bradley and Wayne Macauley so, in short (geddit?), we’re feeling pretty pleased with ourselves. The remaining six writers will be announced mid-July.
